21 June: Home Sweet Home
The journey that took more than 14 hours to go home.
One unique feature in Turkish airlines - we can find a chef onboard :)

21 June: Checking out Milano
Though the flight only took off at 6.50 pm, we arrived at around 1 pm. Only started checking in at 3.30 pm.
See, Leslie, our guide (in checked cap), is helping to 'defend' the queue from being "cut" by the Thais!
Lunch at Milan Airport just before departure - the 1st Italian MacDonald meal - RoyalDeluxe Meal with Salad that cost 8.20 euros.
Internet does not come free easily in Italy. Similarly, for the airport, with only 15 min of free access - to use more? Pay up!

20 June: Fine dining in Milano
This is a 1-star Michelin restaurant, Il Ristorante Trussardi ala Scala beside the Teatro alla Scala. A 2-course meal that cost €50. The food was definitely good, but what really came with the price tag was the experience :)
Suckling pig prepared in a non-oriental manner, the 'side dish' fig was tasty.
Dessert - chocolate pudding coated with coconut-flavoured mousse.
That reminded me of the fine dining experience we (with SS) had in London about 7 years ago during the study trip :)

18 June: Lunch in Florence
This was the "longest waiting" meal... In a burning afternoon.
For almost 45 minutes, we were served (non-stop) with freshly baked bread that were hot from oven... well, they tasted really good with olive oil and vinegar! However, this was not the 'main course'
Here's the main course I ordered, "Homemade potato gnocchi with salmon". While I had the fear that it might turn out to be mouthful of 'flour', the little cubes tasted very nice :)
Far left was the restaurant, "Circus"

17 June: Factory Outlet - The Mall
The factory outlet, The Mall, is definitely very different from the one I saw in US. Largely the branded names selling ladder goods! OK, that's definitely not my cup of tea.
An eye-opener (to me) was the buying power of some members in the group. Wow! Bags, shoes, watches...
Big carriers, small carriers, these were common sights at the factory outlet... (note: This lady in the photo was not a member of our tour group)
Well, well, in my eyes, I think it's too spendthrift to spend thousands of dollars on some of these "wants", of course, in others' eyes, it's simply an investment. Anyway, it's different philosophy in spending, which is neither right or wrong, I suppose. It goes back to the "reasonableness" in spending.
Something new that I learn: Why these leather products are so costly? Because animals are specially farmed for their skins and there's even quality control to ensure the 'best' skins were chosen to turn into leather products!!
The most comforting thing to do at the factory outlet was to hide in the restaurant that came with free wifi access that I tapped on to kill my boredom for almost 3 hours :)

16 June: Trevi Fountain at Roma
Trevi Fountain, where many would come to make a wish (and hope that it would come true).
Very crowded... That's where I had my first local gelato :)
